On enrolment all students are allocated to a sporting house for the school interhouse competitions in swimming, cross country and athletics.
Students who are successful in these competitions progress to represent the school at the district, regional, state and national levels.
The school sports houses are:

Flinders - King Fisher
Lavarack - Cattle Dog
Paterson - Frilled Neck Lizard
